CURRENT FAVOURITES!

Saturday, 7 June 2014
I rarely do monthly favourites as I find it far too demanding to chop and change my routine as often as that, and no one wants to read about the same products over and over again which is literally what my monthly favourites would consist of. What can I say? I like what I like. I usually use the same bunch of products for a few months and when one or two, or in this case five, stand out I know that I really love them. So, without further ado...

N-Spa Coconut Fragrance Body Mist
This is my favourite favourite! I've been dying to find a body spray, or perfume, or generally body smelly, that would make me smell like I've just bathed in dessicated coconut - artificial, sweet coconut instead of light and fresh. Though I do love both variations I lean more towards sweeter scents so I'll admit I was a little hesitant to pick this up as if I'm honest it's not quite sweet enough, but it's the closest I've gotten to the kind of scent that I'm looking for. It's not chocolatey, or nutty, or any other weird "coconut" that certain brands try and fob us off with, but it is a little earthy. Like the husk of the coconut, I suppose. If I'm feeling finicky I'll spritz a little of The Body Shop's Madagascan Vanilla Flower over a heavy dousing of this Coconut Spray and let me tell you, I smell like a bakery. So good. Good enough to eat.
I don't even know what's so special about lip balm, but I am obsessed with the stuff. I peeled this one out of it's brand new packaging to take with me to Portugal because of the SPF15 and I've rekindled my love for Carmex. It has a good thick consistency and it does a good job of keeping my lips soft. Which is exactly what I want, you go Glen Coco!

The funny this is, I reviewed this lip stain thing a while ago and talked about how much I didn't like it, but I've grown pretty fond of it over the past few months. I'm not always partial to an orange lip, which is one of the reasons why I like how sheer this one is. I can't believe I'm actually enjoying a sheer lip colour; what is this? But seriously, it's orange enough to add to the whole summery and bronzey look that I'm going for, but subtle enough that it doesn't stop traffic. Perfect.

Alterna Bamboo Style Boho Waves Tousled Texture Mist
Okay I have really short hair, really really short, so I don't use it to create and tousled beach waves, but this is a fabulous alternative to a hairspray to keep my little curls in place. I spray it on damp or mostly wet hair and leave everything to air dry. Not a frizz in sight.

Beauty Protector Detangle & Protect Leave-In Conditioner
I've never really got on with leave-ins, the last couple that I've tried actually left my hair really dry. I know right; what the hell? When this cute little bottle landed on my doorstep in April's Birch Box I figured that I might as well give it a try, and I was actually pleasantly surprised. Not only does this stuff smell amazing; fruity and sweet but still a light scent; it really does work. My hair feels soft and nourished even if I use just this alone and then the Texture Mist (above) on top to hold the curls. Mind blowing.

So that's the handful of products that I've fallen in love with recently. Let me know if you've tried any of them!
Thanks for reading! xo.
