EVERYDAY MAKEUP ESSENTIALS + GIVEAWAY[CLOSED]

Wednesday, 26 November 2014
It's gotten to the point that I've tried enough products and wasted spent enough money to know what I don't like as well as what I do like, and I've actually accumulated a little selection of Holy Grail, cannot live without, desert island must-have products. Admittedly I don't wear makeup every single day but on those days when I am all made up, you can bet your bottom dollar than I have incorporated these little life savers into my beauty routine!

Benefit Porefessional | Link
I'm so glad that I have two samples of this from beauty subscription boxes as I would never have tried this primer otherwise, and it really is as good as everyone says it is. Because the weather is so damn cold, I only need to worry about makeup sliding around on my t-zone area so that's where I apply this primer; across the forehead, down the bridge of the nose as well as either sides of it, and the chin.

Mac Studio Sculpt Foundation in NC50 | Link
I know, I know, I've turned into one of those girls; first Benefit and now Mac. I can promise you though, I'm still a budget girl at heart as I still can't deal with how expensive MAC products are. However I am insanely in love with their foundation shade ranges and this foundation is amazing. It's a gel formula which makes it really light so it glides on the skin like butter and it it's wonderfully hydrating which is perfect for dry, winter-battered skin. I can use this on it's own, without concealer, as because it's so light it doesn't look cakey no matter how much I build it up, so I can just pop a bit extra over any blemishes I need to hide.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush | Link
This is the best affordable foundation brush ever to have existed on earth. It's perfectly dense with perfectly short bristles to really buff the product into the skin and it's amazing. It applies liquid, gel and soft cream foundations beautifully for a flawless finish and I cannot get enough. I've had this same brush since April 2013, I wash it every week and it's still as soft as it was when I took it out of the packaging. £8.99 well spent! In fact, I love this brush and recommend it so highly that I'm giving one away! Keep reading for more details on how to win.

Maybelline Brown Drama in Dark Brown | Link
My relationship my eyebrows is all over the place, but I need this in my life to give them some kind life. Does that even make sense? It's nearly midnight right now and the struggle to string a coherent sentence together is real. This keeps my brows in place and gives them a hint of colour because they're sparse, yet thick. Which, again, probably doesn't make a lot of sense, lol.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara in Extreme Black | Link
I used to be really obsessed with Bourjois Liner Effect Mascara, which almost gives the same effect as the Benefit They're Real for less than half the price. Having said that, I really don't have £10 to spend on mascara every couple of months. I usually loath the Scandaleyes mascaras by Rimmel but at the moment I'm really enjoying this one.

And that is literally it. I can leave the house wearing these few products and be ready for anything.
If you would like a more in-depth review on any of the above, please just let me know via the comment section below or via my social media profiles which are all linked below. Also, how to we feel about the new post layout? I thought I'd try out something new. Again, let me know!

Now on to the most exciting part of this post!

As detailed above, I swear by this brush. In fact, I wouldn't know what I would do without it. It creates the most flawless base every single time, and it really helps me get my make up done as quickly as I need to because it blends liquid and cream foundations so well. I've used this to apply highstreet/drugstore brand make up such as Sleek BB Cream and Maybelline Fit Me Foundation, as well as more mid-end brand makeup such as MAC Studio Sculpt, Studio Fix Fluid, Matchmaster and Mineral Cream and the Lancome Teint Idol (all samples except for the Studio Sculpt, my bank balance is still in one piece haha), and I can honestly say that the results are fabulous every single time. In fact, I prefer this brush over the coveted Beauty Blender as whilst I love my bootyblenda, it's not quite the same. I clearly recommend this brush so highly that I want everyone to own one, and most definitely one of my readers. So just fill in the rafflecopter form below & good luck!
