CURRENT FAVES | OCTOBER 2014

Friday 7 November 2014
Okay, back in the swing of things.
I don't know if I'll ever be able to make a thing out of Monthly Favourites but I can definitely keep you all updated on the things I love at any given moment. Like this. This is that moment.

MUA Brow Pencil in Brunette (link)
So I still  haven't mastered the art of getting my brows to look good, but this nifty little pencil makes the job a whole lot easier. This isn't even a recent purchase or anything, I just rediscovered it lately and I'm loving it. Ba da ba ba baaaaa.

Primark Hask Argan Oil
I got my hair cut really short waay back in March and I've been fiddling around with various hair products lately, but more on that later. I rediscovered this gem and I don't have much to say about it except that it's great, obviously - this is a favourites post! I find that it seals in the moisture from my leave-in really well and my hair feels soft and fluffy. I plan on doing a completely separate hair post so keep your eyes peeled for that.

Elegant Touch Rapid Dry Nail Spray (link)
I paint my nails at least once a week and with all the amazing autumnal shades I have in my collection of nail polish, sometimes it's more often than that. Whilst I love painting my nails, I hate sitting around waiting for them to dry, however this bad boy cuts drying time down like it's an art. A quick spray of this on my nails and the polish is touch dry in literally seconds. The spray is also packed with Vitamin E and conditioning oils so it's good for your nails and cuticles too!

Sleek Blush by 3 in Pumpkin (link)
It's no secret that I love this blush palette but lately I've been really digging the shade P Pie, the "P" I'm sure is short for Pumpkin. It has a satin finish and I feel like it's the autumnal and more red version of the matte shade Lantern, which is my go-to blush.  I know what your thinking, it looks like I've barely touched it in the photo, but this blush is so pigmented I barely need to tap my brush in it. I'm not usually a fan of any kind of sheen when it comes to my blush but I like a good, iridescent highlight especially as I seem to be leaning away from the super matte look, and with this blush I can skip a step. And it's pretty. I made a post about this blush a while ago, so you can find swatches there.

Ciaté Nail Polish in Pocket Money (link)
Someone take this away from me, dear God. I don't even like nude! Of any description! I've been wearing this shade on my toes since August and I can't get enough of it. It's a warm-toned nude which goes surprisingly well with my skin tone, probably because it leans more brown than pink, and is a great, multi-seasonal shade so I can wear it all year round.

Look Beauty Nail Pop Polish in City
I've raved about this nail polish before and I'm still in love with it. I've had it on my fingers since about late September and I've just been repainting this every week. Unfortunately this whole brand has gone bust, and really I should be rationing it but it's my favourite, and only, mushroom-taupe. It's also beautiful layered with a glitter topcoat but it's not Christmas yet, despite what TV and the Christmas music playing in Boots might be suggesting. Hold the glitter.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water (link)
Everyone and their grandpotatoe has raved about this cleansing water so I'll keep it short; it's amazing. If you're like me and you don't wear makeup every day, or if you're pretty light-handed with your makeup, this huge 400ml bottle will last you months. I bought mine a few days before I went on Holiday in May, around the 20th, and I ran out a couple of days ago, around the 4th of November. !!!£4.99 can seem a little pricey to those of us on a budget, especially when makeup remover wipes can cost next to nothing, but I definitely think this cleansing water is worth it as it lasts ages and literally takes of every piece of makeup; waterproof mascara, gel eyeliner, glitter, matte lipstick; you name it. This isn't keeping it short, okay I'll stop you get the picture.

And that's basically it for now. I might try and do this monthly, but no promises!
Thanks for reading and if today happens to be your birthday, happy birthday.
xo.
