❄'Tis The Season TAG❄

Sunday 30 December 2012

As always, I found this badbody on YouTube here.
Cleverly indicated by the title, it's a Christmas/Winter tag, 10000000% appropriate for December.
Let's Go!

❄Top 2 Winter beauty essentials❄
My Nivea Lip Butter & Nivea Rich Moisturising cream.
There's no contest. Dry skin is horrific & I suffer from it acutely all year round. Hydrate yo' body!

❄Top 2 fashion essentials❄
My big chunky scarf & a coat.
I think this goes without saying. You could be 100% naked underneath your coat and your scarf but you'd be a damn sight warmer than you would be in just a t-shirt and shorts, right?

❄ Favourite winter shoes ❄
This year it's been my leopard print creepers. I dare you to try and take them off me! They're warm and comfy, despite them looking like a death trap :P

❄ Fave winter accessory ❄
Other than a scarf? Gloves! Even though I wear fingerless ones, ha. Nothing says it's bitchin' cold outside like a pair of gloves. Or a furry deerstalker hat. Mmm, I love my deerstalker.

❄ Fave winter polish ❄
I'm still loving Bloom's Millie. It's a lovely dark oxblood colour, and if I wack some red glitter over the top - thanks Barry M - we'll have some gorgeous, festive sparkliness fo' sho'.

❄ Hot cocoa or apple cider? ❄
Hot chocolate, every single time. You just can't beat that warm, dreamy, cosy feeling it gives. Sprinkle in some ground cinnamon or ginger and ugh, yes.

❄ Snowboard or Skiing? ❄
...Staying inside with my hot chocolate, haha.

❄ Have you ever been ice skating? Are you good or do you fail miserably? ❄
I'd say I'm okay. I don't know how to stop other than flying into the sides of the rink, but I also don't fall on my bum every 5 seconds.

❄ Does it snow where you live? ❄
Not often, but when it does it can get really thick and beautiful. The only bad thing is the city always grounds to a halt because of the snow.

❄ Have you ever made a snowman? ❄
Every single time it snows! To indulge both my self and my little brother, haha.

❄ What holiday do you celebrate? ❄
Christmas, yo!

❄ Fave Christmas/Holiday song? ❄
The Christmas Song/Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire, whatever it's called, by Michael Bublé. Y'know, his version of it. It's just warmth.
Though on a little less traditional route I love Christmas Eve, Mistletoe and Fa La La by Justin Bieber. NO SHAME ;)

❄ Fave xmas/holiday movie? ❄
There is no way I'm picking one.
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone - less of a Christmas film, more one that I just like to watch at Christmas, as well as The Nightmare Before Christmas and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I have a post on this here.

❄ Fave winter food treat? ❄
Tesco Gingerbread Men, Brandy Snaps, Mince Pies & double cream, and my cousin's fruit cake ;) I can eat some bitches under the table at Christmas.

❄ The one thing you'd ask Santa for if you were guaranteed to get it. ❄
Can I say a million pounds? No? Fine then, a billion quid. ;)

❄ Do you have anything fun planned this winter? ❄
Staying warm and snug and having an amazing Christmas. Seriously, that's it.

I Tag: YOU!
Thanks for reading :)

Atomic Kitten

Random post ahoy!
I was in House of Fraser the other day, and in the section that houses like Warehouse, Jane Norman, Miss Selfridge, Therapy & Oasis; looking a leather jacket. And out of nowhere they started playing like 90s/00s classics, It's OK by Atomic Kitten being one of them.
It's been 3 days, and I'm still jamming to this blast from the past.
I love music from this period, when pop music was actually pop-y, not just "popular".
So needless to say; well done House of Fraser.
;)

Song of the Week #5

Saturday 29 December 2012
It's Christmas Week! Well the end of it, but nevertheless I am still playing my Christmas CD's!
One of my favourite songs this holiday has been Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.
Now, because I'm cheeky and break my own rules all the time, here are two versions I've been loving!

Luther Vandross
I know it's not perfectly traditional, but Luther's voice is so smooth. And what's Christmas without a little soul? ;)

Christina Aguilera & Brian McKnight
Again, not strictly traditional but it's my favourite version. Sing it Christina! Tehehe.

Happy Holidays!

My Top 5 Christmas Films

There's always a lot of hype about Home Alone this time of year, but I don't lean towards it at all.
Maybe it's because I haven't seen it for years, or maybe because getting left home alone at Christmas sounds like depression waiting to happen.
Maybe it's just me.
Either way, here are my favourite films to watch at Christmas!

1. The Polar Express
I can't stand Tom Hanks, so I was really dubious about watching this, but I think it was on last Christmas on TV and I was so furious every time the breaks came on. It's now one of my all time faves. Pure Christmas magic.

2. Dr. Suess' How The Grinch Stole Christmas (aka The Grinch).
I watch this every single year, without fail. It's a hilarious heart warmer that never gets old.

3. The Nightmare Before Christmas
I watch this every Halloween and every Christmas Eve. It just has to be done. Jack Skellington is one of my favourite characters of all time, plus nothing beats the naive King of Halloween stealing Christmas, and then desperately giving it back. What a babe.

4. Ice Age & Ice Ace 2
I don't know what it is about these two, but I always and persuade my little brother to let me watch it, and drag my mum into the living room with loads of popcorn and tea to snuggle up and watch these. They're proper family films so what better time to watch them than Christmas?

5. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
I know, another not-technically-a-Christmas-film one. But Christmas just isn't the same without Hagrid hauling that massive tree across Hogwarts' grounds in all that snow. Plus it is a family film. This usually gets watched on Christmas Day or Boxing Day in my house, whilst everyone's in their food comas.

Thankyou Santa!!

Wow, long time no see!
And a belated Merry Christmas ;)
The past fortnight has been manic beyond belief. Obviously Christmas was hectic and I've been so ill.
In fact, I'm still ill. Slowly but surely getting better, but still not well.
But that's mostly why I've been AWOL.
Sorry!
Now that that little intro is outta the way, here's a post for all you nosey buggers who'd like to know what was under the tree for me this year!
I'm already breaking my own rules here, because there are two things that I didn't get for Christmas, but were bought during the whole festive period.

My mum gave me some money for Christmas, so the following things are what I bought with that money.

1 Logitech C270 HD Webcam.
I was so excited about this! I'm looking into making videos & uploading them to YouTube (yikes!) and I needed an affordable camera to get me started. This badboy was on sale for £17.49 which is good, but when I record, there are white and blue vertical lines on the video. (If anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know!) I may have to take it back and swap if for something else, but we'll see.

2 Topshop Jewellery
I grabbed a couple of bargains from the Topshop sale.
The necklace pictured is a little collarbone one, or whatever they're called. The chain is really short and the little stars rest against my collarbone. So cute!
The ring in the centre reeeeally reminded me of Vince Kidd, haha! It's a massive sovereign style ring, and it's in the size large; but I'll make it work! :P

3 Make Up
Of course ;) I popped into Superdrug and grabbed a couple of bits.
I got a LOOK Beauty eye shadow single in the shade DISCO, which is a cute metallic purple colour. They were half price at only £2. I would've grabbed more but it was the end of the day and they didn't have any of the nice ones left. I'll have another look on Monday!
The bottom two pencil-y looking things are a Collection 2000 Felt Tip Liner - my holy grail - in Black, and a Collection 2000 Lip Liner in Damson. There's an offer on Collection 2000 where if you spend £4.99+ on make up, you get a free Bedazzled Nail Effects Polish, so I also grabbed one in Tea At The Glitz; a clear base with small gold glitters and larger black flecks. Purdy.

4 Make Up Bags
All that beautiful make up has to go somewhere, right? ;)
The one on the right is a croc-texture, leather-look bag, with two compartments & a pretty bow on the front. (I'll fill it up and do a "What's in my Make Up Bag" post ;D). The one on the left is a pretty, studded bag with one compartment. On the receipt it says that it's a pencil case, but who cares!

The presents that were actually under the tree were...
1 Gold by Next perfume.
Omg, this perfume is to diee for. I quite like Next fragrances, but this one's my favourite!
On the back of the box it says; "A dazzling fragrance with golden flower nectars, gloriously sweet vanilla and molten amber." It is sweet and vanilla-y without being cloying or overpowering. Perrfect.

2 Lumiere Collection Nail Colour Kit.
A cute little kit including 6 colours ranging from berry/wine colours and some pretty metallics. Full review coming soon!
Thank you Aunti Jacqui! :D

3 Sleek Blush by 3 Palette
Hell to the YES! My bestie got my this palette in Pumpkin and I'm SO FRIGGIN' EXCITED! It includes three blushes in Pumpkin Pie, Squash and Lantern. The colours on the box are pretty accurate in terms of colour, in the order that I listed them. If that makes sense! I've not even used it yet because it's so damn pretty to just look at, but have no fear; swatches and the like will be up soon!

Unfortunately the odds are against me, and I haven't managed to get any decent pictures of my leather jacket, jeans or shoes (thatI really want to share!) which are all pictured above. Hopefully we'll have some outfits in these clothes that I can provide pictures for!

What did you get for Christmas?!?!?

Thanks for reading :)

It's Looking A Lot Like Christmas!

Saturday 22 December 2012
That, is all the presents & décor I have bought this year!
And the star on the tree? It all came up to £69.42, which sounds like a lot but honestly it's a bargain.

I was inspired by meghanrosette and wanted to show off what I'd bought my family for Christmas!
Aaaand, handily enough, you can also use this as a last minute gift guide if you so wish!
There's a few goodies for myself in there, as well as one or two things that were bought for me.
Plus one or two items that scream Christmas at me, that I had to share!
So let's get into it!

These are the presents that I got for my mum!
She works in a Primary School and spends so much time washing her hands and cleaning things, that her hands are  really dry and can crack and get really sore. So Janelle to the rescue ;)
1. I got her an Almond Hand Cream set which  comes with the cream, a nail file, a nail buffer and a nail clipper. It's literally the perfect little gift for someone who needs/likes to take care of their hands. (£8 from The Body Shop sale)
2. To add a little extra to the hand care gift, I got her a trio of NYC nail varnishes in Manhattan, Chelsea & Fashion Ave Fuchsia (L-R). (3 for 2 at Superdrug, or £1.79 each).
3. Also in addition to the hand care I got her a little tub of Nivea cream to pop in her hand bag. (£1 from Poundland, but also available at Boots/Superdrug and most chemists for varied prices).
4. I've blogged about the Vanilla Crème Starlytes candle a billion times, and my mum took a shine to them too! I came across a jar-sized version of it and snapped it up quick! (£1 from Poundworld).
5. A snazzy claw hair clip that the Universe sprung upon me! (30p from Superdrug).
6. The Dark version of a Terry's Chocolate. Because she loves them, ha. (£1.79 from WHSmith)

My mum was a genuine breeze to buy for. I knew exactly what to get her so it was pretty much stress free.
My brother on the other hand...
Despite being 5 years old, I find him pretty tricky to buy for!
Which is how he ended up with vests! Lol.
No, but he does need some new ones!
1. 2 Thermal Vests & 3 Sleeveless Vesta (both from Primark; Thermal - £3.50, Sleeveless - £2.50).
2. The Lion King Book & CD. In all fairness, this is me trying to influence him as this is the greatest film ever. (£2.99 The Works sale).
3. Tube of Smarties. You can't go wrong with chocolate, and he's 5. (£1 from Poundworld).
4. The Fireman Sam colouring book comes with 60 different designs, as well as a pack of crayons, and he loves Sam. (99p from Discount UK).

I wasn't going to buy for anyone else, but I grabbed a couple of things for my Auntie on a complete whim.
I actually only got her the clip as a stocking filler, but my mum insisted on the earrings as well.
I might find her a bracelet to complete the package. *shrug.
1. Claw hair clip, as above. (30p from Superdrug).
2. Hoop earrings from/by Wallis. (£2.50 in the Wallis sale in BHS).

Naturally there were a few things that Santa decided to slip under the tree for me...
Okay, I'm inclined to believe that I bought more than this, but *shrug, I can't remember!
1. Redvines. These were virtually impossible to purchase in store, but a lovely sweet shop near my has started selling them! Needless to say I bought three packets of my favourite licorice! (£1.99 per packet in Jessica's).
2. ButterLONDON Lips and Tips sets. Woah, hold the phone! I need to make a whole post about these because omg do I have information! I got West End Wonderland and Rosie Lee (L-R). (£9.99 each from TKMaxx. I know right!).
3. Claw hair clip - not pictured, cos I'm a melon. (30p from Superdrug).
4. Last but not least, I got myself another Starlytes jar candle as well! (£1 from Poundworld).

Woah, that's a lot of presents! I usually by 2-3 things for others, and nothing for myself!
But to see how all out I really went, we should get into décor.
These decorations are so cute! They come with some gold string so you can hang them on your tree or wherever. I got a little creative and stuck mine to my bedroom wall, and then my mum bought some and hung them in the archway in our hallway. They're so glittery and festive! (£1 from Discount UK).

Mini Christmas trees! I dunno, they're just adorable! Plus more glitter! They even have little stars on top! (£1 each from Discount UK).

I'm turning into some kind of candle junkie. In the background we have more Starlytes candles. It's a set of 4 festive candles including Cinnamon Sticks, Ginger Cookies, Snowcapped Pine and of course Vanilla Crème (L-R).  They all smell true to their name, without being overpowering. Scrumptious! (BOGOF at £3.99 from The Works)
In the foreground I have my Yankee Candle Wax Tarts! I haven't melted them yet because I still can't find an affordable oil burner, but I'm trying! I've blogged about them here, they smell delicious! (£1.25 each from House of Fraser).
Lastly, there is a random candle from Primark called 'Boughs of Holly'. It reminds me of a Yankee Candle that I can't remember the name of (oops) as it has an apple-y fragrance to erit. Red Wreath, maybe? *shrug. Anyway, I burnt this badboy for three hours and it gave me a headache, though I've been burning Ginger Cookies for just as long with no side affects. It's crazy what different ingredients can do. Regardless, it smells yummy and it looks cute as well. (£1 from Primark).

Wrapping Paper!!! Despite my theme this year being gold and glittery, I couldn't leave this stuff in the shop.
(£1 per roll from Discount UK).

And last but not least...
TINSEL! I bought 4 bunches of this stuff, totalling eight metres. I guess I got a little carried away! It ties it with my gold theme without looking tacky (somehow, lol). A sprig of tinsel adds so much extra festive cheer,  it's effortless. (£1 per bunch from Poundworld).

Phew! I'm done!
I'll put pictures of my room up as soon as I've tidied it, as well as pictures of my living room & hallway.
Seen anything you like the look of? Let me know!
Thanks for reading :)

Note: The few links that I could find, I have included for reference only. Please don't try and order anything for Christmas, as there's no way you'll get it in time!

Song of the Week Saturday #4

Considering I hated this song with a passion when it came out last year, I'm quite surprised at how much I love it now!
It's not a traditional Christmas carol, nor is it a famous Christmas song that we all know and love.
However.
The more I listen to it, the more festive it feels!
So with Christmas right around the corner (3 sleeps, omg!)...
Fa La La by Justin Bieber Ft. Boyz II Men
I've chosen the just-audio version because I cannot deal with how much of a tool Justin acts in music videos.
Just no.
But the song is beautiful, I adore it!
What's your Christmas jam this week??

NYC Kissgloss Purchase!

Thursday 20 December 2012
I haven't been abducted by aliens. Real life has seriously been getting on my back the past week or so.
University is complete ballache. But never mind that now, because I'm officially home for Christmas and I have so many wonderful things to shaaare!!
The first of which being; NYC Kissgloss in Blackula.
(Photo disclaimer: I pinched it off the seller!)
It's basically a cute, sparkly, black lipgloss.
I was inspired by a tutorial I saw on the ButterLONDON website, which you can find here.
I had a scour around on le webs for a cheaper black lipgloss because I really couldn't afford to pay for the ButterLONDON one, and found this badboy on eBay (here) for 99p!
It was limited edition as part of a Halloween collection last year, and I was lucky as hell to get my hands on it.
I've not even opened it yet because I'm so anxious about it, though as soon as I do there will be a full review!
I'm thinking about wearing it on NYE for a little drama.
Fingers crossed it all works out!!
Thanks for reading! :)

On the Second Day of Christmas...

Friday 14 December 2012
My Christmas has to smell like Christmas.
By means of candles, wax tarts, scented oils, baking, or just air freshener.
It doesn't matter, it just has to smell right.
*Inserts handy photo of some examples, haha*
My favourite festive smells are:
Warm Spice❄ (wax tart pictured)
My nan used to make a delicious, spice-heavy hot chocolate around Christmas time. Warm Spice smells exactly like it. Delicious.
Hot Mince Pies
Nothing says "It's Christmas" like the citrusy-sweet-spicey smell of mince pies.
Gingerbread Chai Tea
I love tea, and I love gingerbread. A match made in heaven.
Vanilla Créme Candle
I've blogged about it a million times and I've been burning this in my room aaaaall through A/W, so I know it'll become a tradition!

What makes your Christmas special?
Thanks for reading! :)

Nails Of The Week; Blue & Sparkly

Thursday 13 December 2012

This week's mani is kind of festive/seasonal with it's cool frostiness.
Whilst the nails are pretty, they're a little tame for me; usually I have 2+ different colours as well as tonne of glitter.
Though I love these nonetheless.
Products Used:
MUA Nail Varnish in 'Shade 9'
A beautiful, cool blue. It took a grand total of 4 coats to get this badboy opaque, but the whole mani is really cute so I'm not complaining!
(I also can't find it anywhere, in store or online! Where's it gone?!)
Miss Sporty Sparkle Touch Nail Varnish in 'Clear'
A clear base with multitude of silver, mauve and blue flecks of glitter (pictured).

I just thought they were really pretty and seasonal; I really wanted to share them!

Review-Day Tuesday #4: Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Cleanser

Tuesday 11 December 2012
Hey butterflies!
I'm not even gonna jazz this up; I have blackheads. Whole hoards of them.
So I've jumped on the skincare bandwagon and I've been shocked to discover how much I've been neglecting my skin!
I already have the Clean & Clear Deep Action Cream Wash, but I'm lazy as hell so I wanted something that I didn't have to wash off.
Therefore after much deliberation I went ahead and bought the Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Cleanser.
It's oil-free and claims that it "helps clear and prevent blackheads" as it "is formulated to start acting against blackheads from day 1."
Basically it's supposed to do all the beautiful, de-clogging excellence that cleanser does, but with extra blackhead-fighting toughness.

I started off smothering this stuff all over my face, once in the morning before I put my makeup on and once before bed once I'd taken my makeup off, with a standard cotton pad, but I noticed that my face would sting - especially on the places where I had one or two spots. So I reverted to just using it once before bed, but it still stung like a bitch. My eyes were stinging, my cheeks were stinging, my chin was too.
And I'm not surprised, really. The product is basically all water and alcohol.
Despite the known acne fighting ingredient, salicylic acid, being so high on the list of ingredients, this stuff breaks me out like nobody's business. And my blackheads were spreading! My problem area is my t-zone. My nose, my forehead, my chin, and the area close to my nose but under my eyes(if that makes sense). Since I started using the cleanser, I have blackheads on my cheeks, the sides of my face and my temples, as well as my t-zone. No thanks.

Now I've told you my whole experience with this thing, it's clear to see that I hate it.
I won't lie, on "Day 1" I did see fewer blackheads around the side of my nose, but they've come back since. And nowhere else is showing any improvement.
I tried a quick DIY facial scrub last night - just sugar and honey - and my skin already looks 10 times better than it did when I was using the Clean & Clear.

If you have used this product before, let me know how it went for you!
Thanks for reading! :)

Song of the Week Saturday #3

Saturday 8 December 2012
This isn't a Christmas song.
Surprise!
Literally the 1st of September I was on Youtube and re-discovered Vince Kidd.
He was on The Voice UK back in Spring and I had completely forgotten about him.
Until now. And now I can't get enough of the bad Kidd (his pun, not mine).
My jam this week has been his audition song; a cover of Madonna's Like a Virgin.
But, like you've never heard it before.

What have you been jamming to this week?
Thanks for reading :)

Throwback Thursday #1: Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse

Thursday 6 December 2012

Throwback Thursdays will consist of products that I used to swear by, but am now not so fond of. Or products that I'd completely forgotten about and now love all over again.

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse in 070 Cocoa
I was watching TV yesterday and apparently, Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse is the UK's #1 foundation.
Really?

I loved this foundation to death while I was at school; I started wearing foundation in year 11. I remember being in Superdrug debating whether it'd be a good idea or not. Clearly, I bought it. And for about 2 years, this was my holy grail. The picture above shows the remains of my third...what even is that? Jar/tub/bowl-with-a-lid? I takes me forever to get through a foundation so having gone through 3 in 2 years is about average for me. (I know girls who buy a new foundation every 4 months or so) - but that's not the point.
The point is, I used to love this stuff; medium coverage, light on the skin, pocket-money friendly.

I used to pay just a little more than £5 for it, and now it's nearing the £8 mark in Superdrug & Boots stores. I guess that's still alright but for a foundation that lasts all of 5 seconds on the skin, I'd don't expect that kind of price.
Maybe that's just the cheapskate in me. *shrug. Quite a few girls that I've spoken to about this feel the same; it used to be an amazing and cheap product, but now it's getting too pricey and the formula's not as brilliant as it was once thought.

Despite how much I used to love it, I really don't miss it now that I don't use it anymore.
In fact, I'm quite looking forward to throwing it out now I've made this post!

Have you got any products that you once loved but have now kicked to the curb? Or are there any products that you've rekindled the flame for?
Let me know in the comments section, or tweet me @JanelleBlogs.

Review-Day Tuesdsay #3: MUA Every Lash Mascara

Tuesday 4 December 2012
Apologies for the shabby photography!
I'm a bit of a night owl so all my blogging gets done in the dark, hence the ghetto lighting.
Again, sorry!

Gems of November!

Sunday 2 December 2012
Yes guys & dolls, it's that time of the month again!
With all the hype of it being December and the excitement of Christmas looming, November all but flew out of my mind as a thing of the past.
However, all is not lost as by some stroke of sheer luck, I remembered!
So without further ado...

Saturday 1 December 2012

November Playlist

Saturday 1 December 2012
While I love this week's Song of the Week, it made me feel a little... incomplete.
I listen to so much music, I just feel that one song every week isn't enough and that too many great songs get missed out because I've restricted myself to 1 song.
This bizarre emotional guilt thus gave birth to; monthly playlists!
It's basically a monthly favourites post, but for music.
Ya with me? Awesome!
In no particular order, these are the songs that I have been head over heels in love with in November!

Song of the Week Saturday #2

IT'S CHRIIIIIISTTTMAAAAAAAASSS!
Well Noddy, not quite.
But we're getting there! *squeal.
Therefore, it makes complete sense that the song that I've been jamming to this week iiiiiis....
(drum roll)

Fairytale of New York by The Pogues & Kirsty McColl.

It's the ultimate festive song.
Sing along with the drunken Irish as the folk music in the background warms your heart.

What song has inspired you this week?
Let me know in the comments below!
Thanks for reading :)

Friday 30 November 2012

Christmas Fayres are Spectacular.

Friday 30 November 2012
Woah! Janelle, where the hell have you been all week?!
Well guys & dolls, my laptop broke, catastrophically.
I wish I had taken a picture :/
Though never mind, all is well!
ON WITH THE SHOW!

Sooo, I went to the amazing Victorian Christmas Fayre in Worcester on Thursday and had such a good time!

I got: a gingerbread chai tea from the Bluebird Co. tea stand.
A toffee apple.
Fuffle from Gaz @ Fudgeheaven. (It's his email address, lawls), on the fuffle stand. (Fuffle is a delightful, light, sweet mix of fudge and truffle. It's divine).
Fudge from one of the 4 fudge stands.
'Authentic' (because who knows if it is or not?) German mulled wine.
Aaaaand, I think that's it.
But don't let my meagre list of goodies phase you, the market is massive. It takes up the majority of the town centre. There's cheese stalls (omg, it's damn good cheese as well), handmade jewellery, handmade candles, sweets and confectionery, roasted chestnuts vendors, hot chocolate vendors, people selling mini pancakes and crepes and churros with a variety of toppings. That's just off the top of my head. There's a guy that sells handmade lip balms and soaps and stuff, there's blokes selling massive German Bratwurst hotdog sausage things. There's so much to go and see; there were guys on stilts, a chimney sweep on stilts, a guy on a penny farthing with a cracking top hat and moustache. Nearly all of the traders are in Victorian fancy dress. Seriously go and check it out!
Clearly from the picture, it's only a 4 day event, so get your skates on! Honestly, it's amazing.
My favourite part is the stunning Friar Street, it reminds me of Diagon Alley so much.
And with the Christmas-y atmosphere, it's spellbinding. As true as it is cliché and a bad pun, ha.

This post is appalling; it's rushed and all over the place but I really wanted to broadcast how amazing it is! Hopefully someone'll see this post and decide to have a gander.
Let me know if you do go and have a look.
Ooo! Has anyone been to the Birmingham German market yet? Tell me all about your festive shenanigans! :D

Review-Day Tuesday #2: Starlytes Candle

Hey guys & dolls.
In my last haul post I discussed a delicious candle that I bought and as it's Review Day, I thought I'd tell you all a little bit more about it!

As detailed in the picture above, the brand is called 'Starlytes' and the scent I got is 'Vanilla Créme'. I know I mentioned this in my haul, but I don't think you understand. It smells just like the Vanilla Cupcake Yankee Candle, but not quite as strong. I'm not even kidding. It's delicious.
I burnt mine for an hour or so the other day and my whole room smelt like the candle; sweet, creamy deliciousness. My room's not huge, but it's not a box room either. I've been thoroughly impressed with this product, I can't believe it only cost me 99p!
I got mine from a shop called Discount UK and if you visit the website, you can see if there's a store near you. If there is, go and look for this candle! It's totally worth it.
If you do manage to get your hands on one, let me know what you think of it!
Thanks for reading :)
