Sleek Blush By 3: Pumpkin

Monday 21 January 2013

Good evening, sweethearts!
This is actually my first blush palette and I'm really excited to finally get into it; I've had it since Christmas!
My amazing best friend Santa popped this badboy down the chimney for me and it's taken me till now to blog about it! Tsk.
The Sleek Blush by 3 palettes were released... I'm gonna say some time in 2011? (Correct me if I'm wrong!) And whilst I really liked the look of them, at the time they were only available online.
Fast forward to the present day, and all shade selections; Lace, Pumpkin, Pink Spirit, Flame and Sugar are available in Superdrug stores. (At least that's were mine's from!)
On Christmas Day, I was lucky enough to open the Pumpkin palette.
As you can see, the packaging is very Sleek. Pun intended.
The black casing is very sturdy and snaps shut with a satisfying, well, snap.
If there's one thing that Sleek makeup does not compromise on, it's pigmentation. I've used a few Sleek products over the years and they've all packed a serious punch, so it pleases me to say that this palette is no exception.
The three shades; Lantern, Squash and P Pie - (L-R; I'm assuming the P stands for Pumpkin) are intensely pigmented bright shades of orange and pink.
Lantern: A red-orange blush with a pretty gold shimmer, resulting in a shimmery finish.
Squash: A vibrant, cool-toned pink with a satin finish.
Pumpkin Pie: A bright matte orange, which is the chalkiest of the three, though colour pay off is still fantastic.

Swatched on the back of my hand.
As you can see, the colours look amazing with just one swipe.
My past experience with Sleek blushes is that there are buildable, blendable and generally easy to work with.
I'm not sure how much use Lantern will get as a blush as I'm not keen on shimmery cheeks, but it might look amazing on my lids, dontcha think?

A very warm thank you to my best friend for buying this for me!
I can't even deal with how pretty it is! I can already picture a few looks that I'd like to try this blush with.
The possibilities are endless!

Thanks for reading! :)
